Design Team Call & New Images at The Crafty Pad

This week over at The Crafty Pad we have a Brand new set of images for you.... pop over there now to take a peep..... They will be released lovely and fresh for the New Year.

Now the Christmas cards are out of the way, come and enter this week's challenge, we'd love you to join in...

This week it is 'Stitching'.... real or faux...

For my DT card I have used one of the new images Roshell Duck, coloured with Promarkers and made an Easel Card into a Calendar.
I have used all card from stash and attached Prima flowers for decoration.... I have coated the Prima's in Glossy Accents to give them a wet look and also added a few extra drops for the rain and the puddle :)

I know it's not crafting!!

I know it's not crafting, but I thought I'd share this piccie with you... its our garden...how it looks today... none of the snow has melted except where the dog has been running around in it, but luckily no more snow has fallen today.... I took the piccie from the kitchen door.. there was no way I was going out it in... even Mindy didnt want to stay out there for long lolIf the weather is bad where you are keep warm and stay safe

Meet Biker Chic Brooke and her friend Chloe

Well done to the winner of last week's challenge. We have some more lovely goodies for you this week.

In my card I have used two of the newly designed papers along with Lexi's Biker chic Brook & her friend Chloe... these are such fab images. Bling gems are from Prima, Flowers Prima, leaves and lace edging on paper are made from Martha Stewart Punches, Gem Brads from Stash along with Purple lace. Purple sheer ribbon is from Ribbon Mad.

CAT Frame Card...

This is another Frame Card that I have made for a friend who is mad on cats...
I have used the stamp that I got in a grab bag from Joanna Sheene's website, so I don't know from which set it came from.

I used distress inks and promarkers to colour the image and surround.

Nellie Circle Die to cut frame and brown card surround, matted to Gold Mirror card and pink Glitter card, then onto the brown again.
Prima flowers and sticky gem centers to decorate the card and the wooden frame. Glossy Accents have been used on the cat and the Prima Flowers.
The inside has been decorated with papers from DCWV and have the words 'Friends are a Gift' on a small die cut mat.
The light was very poor today so I wasnt able to get a good enough photo of the reverse of the card.
The concept of this style card is that when the card is opened it acts as a stand for the frame which is approx 5x5" square.

One card two Challenges - Creative Inspirations & Cards for Men

I have made this card made using one of the Digi Images by Eiglas, (Twins) that I recently won.... coloured with promarkers and glittered.
I have used Dovecraft glitter card, Papers are from Papermania and Smirk. Ricrac is from Ribbon Mad.
I have made this card following the sketch on Creative Inspirations and Cards for Men Challenge, Christmas card for Man or Boy.

My First Easel Card....

We have a great sketch for you at The Crafty Pad this week and for my DT card I have made my very first Easel card.. I hope you like it. they are so easy and such fun... I will ahve to make some more...
This week I have used the stamp Percy Penguin and his friend holding the a banner, which I have stamped a small sentiment, from me to you :)
Papers and adhesieve ribbon are by Dovecraft/Trimcraft, they are from my stash from last year I'm afraid so I dont have all the details. but I have combined them with this years new Glitter card from Dovecraft. it was lovely to be able to use glitter card without all the bits of glitter shedding each time you touch it :)

Who Threw those Snowballs!!

Here is my DT card for this week.. this is my first ever side step card.
I have used Lexi's 'Pengy' Digi stamp, duplicated and enlarged it so I could add extra images on the 'steps'. I have added Martha Stewart Punched snowflakes and Card Candy 'Snowballs '.
The snowballs That I have attached to wires are the fluffy balls that you can use to work with the coloured chalks.
Images have been coloured with my favourite promarkers and lots of glitter Glue used :)
Ribbon is from RibbonMad and paper flowers are from stash.

Frame Card & Triangles!

This week over at The Crafty Pad the theme is 'Triangles'... I must admit it was a hard one... i couldnt think what to make for my DT card... initially I made a little Christmas tree using all Triangles and stuck them to a triangular card, then coloured a stamped image of Christmas Ted with eth snowman and attached him to the bottom of the tree, but I just felt it was a little bit too small so i made an extra project this week..... A Frame Card..... the card fits inside teh frame and the back of the card acts as a support for it to stand up. I have made the card using the same image as my Christmas Tree card, but have added the triangle Christmas tree made from Quickutz Die-Cuts....

Visiting Santa... Scrapbook LO for Ribbon Mad

This is a DT Scrapbook Layout that I have made for RibbonMad to display their Monthly Ribbon Kit for December 2009.

I have used 12x12 Patterned Cardstock and Papers from DCWV.
Some have been distressed with Tim Holtz/Ranger Distressing ink, so that I could match up the other papers, ribbons and photos.
The photos have been 'lent' to me by the owner of RibbonMad - Emma. They are of her children and their cousins having fun visiting Santa... I havent added any journaling to the LO to protect their privacy.
There is the addition of the Magnolia Santa and Sheet Music Stamps, which I have coloured with Promarkers and Distressing inks.
Other embellishments include, fabric Poinsettia, which has been distressed too with ink as the colour was too bright, to which I have added on top, a Quickutz Die-cut Snowflake attached with a gem brad.
The tag is a Sizzix die cut tag and additional ribbons used are also from RM and a Quickutz die-cut Poinsettia has been attached, finished off with gold ink.
The Dove with Leaf and Present are also Quickutz die-cuts and have all been cut from Bazzill cardstock.
Additional buttons have been attached to the top of the LO that have had gold thin ribbon sewn through.
A gem ribbon slide has been added to the main layered up ribbons..... All ribbons used were from December's RiboonMad, monthly kit.
For the Tesxt I have used Trimcraft/Dovecraft's new range of adhesieve fabric Alphabet glitter stickers
